OUR BABYSITTERS

Who are the babysitters?

Our team of carefully selected babysitters have relevant qualifications, are experienced, multilingual and insured by the company.

The babysitters are subject to a national police check.

Will I know anything about my babysitter before they arrive?

The babysitters contact information will be provided a few days prior to your arrival. Clients are more than welcome to contact their babysitter.

DURING THE SITTING

How should I give the babysitter instructions?

Communication is Key!

When the booking is confirmed there will be set up a WhatsApp group with you and the babysitter, a few days prior to your arrival, so that you can provide the babysitter with any relevant information, discuss any requierements and expectations you may have.

 

What does the babysitter do with the children?

It all depends on the time of the booking. If it is a daytime booking, the babysitter will go out and about with the children, exploring and playing in the hotel/guest accommodation’s grounds or garden.
(*Use of hotel facilities sometimes requires the permission from the hotel. In some cases, you will be required by the hotel to purchase a day pass for the sitter – The client takes full responsibility for organising this arrangement with the hotel.)

Babysitters are not allowed to leave the agreed place of service except when authorized and agreed upon booking.

An evening booking may be different.  Perhaps the babysitter will take the children for an early dinner in the hotel restaurant and then settle them in for the evening with their bath, story- and bedtime routine.

Is there anything that the babysitters can not do?

Sitters will not clean, do laundry, run errands, make deliveries, give medication, supervise medications or allow anyone not pre-authorized by the client into the home or hotel room.

Babysitters will not leave the agreed location of service (exept when authorized and agreed upon booking),

*Kiddiecare representatives will not transport any children under their care in a motor car. They are authorised to use public transport or taxi services.

What will the babysitter do while my children are napping or sleeping?

The babysitter will sit quietly until you arrive. We provide babysitting services only. Babysitters will not clean or do any domestic work outside of cleanup from the time they have spent with the children during the reservation.

What if my child is sick?

KiddieCare must be notified when a child is sick. Babysitters will not administer medicine of any kind. Please be upfront when booking your reservation so that we can provide the best possible care.

If the babysitter arrives and is unable to care of your child because an illness or special need was not specified, you will be billed for a cancelled reservation.

Covid-19 Keeping safe

Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of all parents, sitters and the children in their care.  

Our babysitters adhere closely to the covid protocols required to carry out this work.

  • Where possible, all adults should maintain social distancing (2m).
  • On arrival, wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and hot water.
  • Keep internal doors open where possible to minimise contact.
  • If you cough or sneeze, always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands), bin tissues immediately and wash your hands afterwards.
  • Always ensure that you and the children in your care practice the highest levels of good hygiene during the booking

If you or anyone in your household is quarantining or develops any coronavirus symptoms (however mild), you should not arrange a booking or accept a booking and you should immediately cancel any bookings you have.

 

 

SHEDULING AND CANCELLATION

What if i have to cancel a reservation?

Cancellation policy;

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the date of  service will receive a full refund.

*Minus 10% booking fee (calculated on the total cost of the booking), and applicable payment processing fees.

Cancellation received within 24 hours of service will receive a refund of 50% of the total booking cost.

What if the location changes?

If the location changes we can not guarantee that the same Sitter will be available or that we will be able to accommodate your request. Additional fees may apply.

What if i need to change the time of the reservation?

We value that our babysitters understand the need to be flexible.

However, we appreciate if reservations are changed or modified with at least 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled Service booked.

We require 48 hour notice for reservations with multiple babysitters,  groups, special rates, Holiday bookings (Christmas eve, Christmas, New Years eve, New Year)

***Reservations modified with less than the required 48 hours notice, extra fees may apply

Modifications may only be made contacting KiddieCare directly by email or telephone.

What do I do if I decide I want to extend a service that has has allready started?

Requests for extension of the service can be made in the WhatsApp chat group between you, the client, the babysitter and the owner of the company.
Requests have to be made at least 1hour before the service ends. 

Extension requests can not be guaranteed, but we try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. Should the extension be granted, we will send you a payment link for the extra hours and you will be required to pay this immediately, to confirm the time extension.

BOOKING AND PAYMENTS

When should i book my babysitter?

It is always a good idea to book your babysitter with as much notice as possible. Booking a babysitter with at least 24 hours notice is suggested. last-minute reservations are based on availability.

How long in advance can we book a babysitter?

You can book a babysitter at any given moment

How can I Reserve a babysitter?

You can book our babysitter services by filling out the booking form, email , call, whatsapp or get in touch on Messenger with KiddieCare.

Can I request the same babysitter everytime?

It is always our preference to book the same Sitter. Please provide all of the dates and times with as much notice as possible so that the same Sitter can be arranged.

We will do our best to choose a babysitter that generally has availability during those times, however, we can never guarantee that the same babysitter will always be available.

What if I have a last minute request?

We are able to accommodate most last-minute requests. We can usually have a Sitter to your home, hotel or event within the hour. There is a different rate, booking a babysitter at the last minute. All last minute requests are fielded by phone.

Do I allways need to book the babysitter through KiddieCare?

Reservations must be booked directly with KiddieCare.

The babysitters are under a non-negotiable contract and they will not work for any client (or third party) outside of the KiddieCare Company.

The babysitters respect their jobs, commitments, and agreements and we hope you will too.

How do I pay for the service ?

You will receive a payment link for the services booked.

When is my booking confirmed?

To confirm your booking:

-Payment must be made in full.

-Terms and Conditions must be accepted.

-Any adittional disclaimers must be signed.

All will be sent out toghether with the payment link.

Without this, we are not able to confirm your booking.

 

*To avoid dissapointment and for our own organisation we recommend to get your booking confirmed as soon as possible.
